Journalist Max Easterman worked for the BBC for more than 20 years, initially as a radio reporter, producer and presenter and then also on television programmes such as the investigative Brass Tacks.
Still a freelance broadcaster, he is also a senior lecturer in radio journalism at the University of Huddersfield, and a radio trainer for the BBC. He is currently researching the attitudes of young people to news, current affairs and citizenship, and is a Director of the Children’s Voices Trust, a not-for-profit organisation that gives young people a voice on issues that matter to them. He also works with the Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma, researching the effects on journalists of reporting traumatic events.
